What is Eco-Label?

The European Eco-Label is a voluntary scheme established in 1992 to encourage businesses to market products and services that are kinder to the environment.  Products and services awarded the Eco-Label carry the “flower logo” allowing consumers to easily identify them.  Product groups include cleaning products, textile and home and garden products, lubricants and paper.

Whilst the logo might be simple, the environmental criteria behind it are tough and only the very best products which are kindest to the environment are entitled to carry the Eco-Label.

What is more, this is a label which consumers can genuinely trust.  And accreditation is only given by independent environmental and performance experts.

The EU Eco-Label is a rapidly growing brand and many producers want to sell the products across Europe.

The flower logo helps manufacturers, retailers, suppliers and distributors gain recognition for good standards which help purchasers to make reliable choices.

The flower logo guarantees the following:

  • That the product will be at least as effective as traditional substances
  • That the packaging uses the least amount of materials as possible
  • That the product contains fewer hazardous chemicals
  • That the product will be labelled with clear guidelines for safe, effective and efficient use
  • That the product will be good value for money

Ingredients cannot be carcinogenic, mutagenic or teratogenic.

We are one of only a small number companies in the UK to have Eco-Label products on our range.
